Fredmund Malik is one of the most renowned management mentors of our time. He has received numerous honors for his research and work, including the Ehrenkreuz der Republik Österreich (Austrian Award of Honor for Science and the Arts) for his development of holistic management systems and the Heinz-von-Foerster Preis (Heinz von Foerster Prize) for organizational cybernetics of the German Society for Cybernetics.

 

On September 5, 2008 Professor Malik was honored for his lifetime achievements and inducted in the “German Speakers Hall of Fame.”

 

In October 2011 Malik’s bestseller Managing Performing Living became one of the “100 best economics books of all time“.

 

Fredmund Malik was named Special and Honorary Professor at three renowned Chinese universities in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

 

In 1975 Malik gained his doctorate as Dr. oec with the highest honors. In this context he was awarded the Amititia Prize for the best doctorate of the academic year 1974/75 at the University St. Gallen.
